I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
